a journey into digital manipulation of analog sound, sample based instrumentation, and my own psyche - itself analog equipment increasingly enhanced, modified, and disturbed by the digital era - sojourn is a window into my struggles and successes finding beauty in a world increasingly controlled by corporate media, authoritarian leaders, and cold calculation. it is a happy and playful album, rooted in a deep rejection of pessimism and a futile grasping for hope, encouraging each listener to continue on their unique and magnificent adventure refreshed and renewed, despite what may come.

it grapples with the cognitive dissonance engendered by the simultaneous understanding that everyone and everything is exactly where it's supposed to be (indeed, where it must be), and that everything also really, really sucks - teasing out what is pleasant from painful moments and creating pleasant moments of its own, a reminder that we are the ultimate authors of our thoughts and our being.
